A love of rock music drove fifteen-year-old Carlos Loza to take up the bass guitar. Although Carlos is self-taught on bass, he gained a solid foundation of music theory and performance experience as a member of his junior and senior high school bands, playing trombone. Carlos played for a year with his church’s youth music group and Spanish music group where he served weekly at the Spanish mass. He has also been privileged to entertain at various youth music group community outreach concerts.
